Portfolio: Print Design
Business cards, stationery, annual reports and advertising material- it’s the bread and butter of the traditional graphic designer. Although website design is rapidly taking over as the bulk of many designer’s workloads, design for print still has an important place in advertising your business.
When designing for print, the technical processes behind the printing methods must be understood in order to deliver a quality product. The tactile properties of matt or gloss paper stocks, the paper’s GSM (or thickness), the binding method for multi page documents, die-cutting and specialist processes such as spot UV varnish can all have a huge impact on how the final product looks and feels.
Print production gives you industry relevant options that are not possible online- glow in the dark inks for party flyers, metallic inks for a steel fabricator’s annual report... or maybe a coffee scented scratch n’ sniff business card for a cafe!
These treatments can really make your advertising stand out from the crowd.
All the options and technical jargon can be confusing, so we are happy to help explain things and advise you on what best suits your needs and budget, whether it’s just a business card design, annual report, or an entire range of advertising and promotional materials.
